United Thai Shipping Corporation Ltd., (Unithai Container Terminal), has received a new electric-powered ship-to-shore crane (New Ship-To-Shore Crane) from Wuxi HuaDong Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd. (HDHM), a renowned company in the port machinery industry specializing in the production of various types of cranes. This new crane aims to enhance service standards with faster and more precise container lifting and movement, improving the efficiency of port operations, transportation services, logistics systems, and warehouse management. This move solidifies Unithai Container Terminal’s position as a leader in the transport and logistics industry.

The inauguration ceremony for the new electric-powered ship-to-shore crane was honored by the presence of key Unithai executives, including Mr. Chirapong Korkitsammakul, Head of Thailand Shipping and Logistics at United Thai Shipping Corporation Ltd., Mr. Wasa Junsangsuk, Deputy General Manager of Unithai Container Terminal, Ms. Janjira Panitpol, Head of Corporate Office Thailand, Ms. Suparat Akejittramorn, Country Finance Head of Unithai Group, and Ms. Faye Liu, Senior Vice President (Port Equipment Business) of HDHM. The ceremony featured a ribbon-cutting event and a demonstration of the crane’s operational efficiency for distinguished guests.

Unithai Container Terminal is certified under ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards and complies with the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS CODE). It is an international-standard terminal equipped with comprehensive cargo handling facilities and is conveniently located. Established in 1997, the terminal is situated on the prime location of the Chao Phraya River in Samut Prakan Province, east of Bangkok. It was built to serve as a container terminal for international cargo transportation, offering state-of-the-art equipment and systems for efficient container handling. The terminal’s advanced management systems reduce truck turnaround time and are supported by highly skilled and experienced personnel, ensuring high-quality services tailored to customer needs.
