Mr. Punluek Kittisares, Managing Director of Unithai Shipyard & Engineering Ltd., presided over the environmental activities along with the company’s executives and employees, Mr. Amornsak Panyacharoensri, The president of the Local Fisheries Association of Chonburi Province, Mr. Wara Thanomrod, President of Ban Laem Chabang Community, representatives from the Marine and Coastal Resource Network Promotion and Coordination Department from 11 local communities surrounding the company, local residents, the Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment team, and the Corporate Social Responsibilities team.
The activities included the release of aquatic animals and beach cleanup at Laem Chabang community beach to honor Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana’s birthday on June 3, 2024, and to commemorate World Environment Day on June 5, 2024. The purpose of these activities was to raise awareness about the importance of environmental conservation in the areas surrounding the company, to create unity, and to release 100,000 aquatic animals (black tiger prawns)to help restore and increase marine resources and maintain the ecological balance in the sea.
Mr. Punluek Kittisares expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to participate in environmental conservation activities, coinciding with World Environment Day on June 5. Unithai Shipyard is proud to be part of the Laem Chabang community and to participate in both activities, including releasing baby black tiger prawns to support the local fishing industry and cleaning the Laem Chabang village beach. Unithai Shipyard has been operating in the Laem Chabang area for over 30 years and considers itself a part of the Laem Chabang community. The company places importance on caring for and maintaining the surrounding community’s environment according to its mission to support the development of society, the community, and the surrounding environment, along with sustainable business operations.
